Care, Development & Safety Notice

Important limitations to read before using TinyLeap

Effective: August 22, 2026 · Version 2.4

Purpose and scope

TinyLeap is a parent and caregiver lifestyle and record-keeping app. It provides general educational and organizational information about infant and early-childhood care, growth, development, sleep, feeding, and developmental milestones. It is designed to support routine tracking and general awareness, not to provide healthcare or replace professional judgment.

For this Notice, “Operator” means the operator identified in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Where this Notice refers to responsibility, warranties, disclaimers, or liability of TinyLeap, the reference also includes the Operator and, to the extent permitted by law, persons acting on the Operator’s behalf.

Not medical advice or a medical device

TinyLeap is not a medical service, medical device, diagnostic service, screening test, treatment tool, or emergency service. It does not provide individualized medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, monitor, prevent, predict, or treat any medical or developmental condition. TinyLeap does not ask users to enter diagnoses, medical conditions, prescriptions, medications, treatment plans, laboratory results, clinical records, HealthKit data, or Clinical Health Records data.

The app does not replace an examination, assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, or advice from a pediatrician, child-health nurse, Tipat Halav nurse, or another qualified professional. Do not start, stop, or change treatment, make a medical decision, or delay seeking care because of information, calculations, reminders, or suggestions shown in TinyLeap.

Development, milestones, and growth

Every child develops differently. Age ranges, developmental periods, growth-spurt or developmental-change descriptions, and milestone timing are general estimates or reference information and are not guarantees about a particular child.

A milestone that has not yet been recorded is not a diagnosis of developmental delay. Recording a milestone is not professional confirmation that development is typical or that no concern exists. TinyLeap records the growth measurements you enter and may show how those recorded values change over time. TinyLeap does not calculate, display, or interpret growth percentiles and does not compare a child’s measurements with population growth references. Corrected-age calculations, where used for prematurity, are organizational reference calculations and are not a medical assessment.

Sleep, feeding, and information you enter

Sleep-window estimates are organizational suggestions based on information recorded in the app and broad age guidance. They are not instructions to put a child to sleep, a required schedule, a medical recommendation, or a guarantee that a child is tired, ready to sleep, or should remain awake until a particular time.

Calculations and summaries depend on the accuracy and completeness of information entered by users. Incorrect dates, gestational information, measurements, feeding records, sleep records, or other entries can produce incorrect or misleading results. You remain responsible for checking important information and using your own observations and professional advice.

No safety monitoring; alerts and Apple features may fail

TinyLeap is not a baby monitor, emergency monitor, medication reminder system, or other safety-critical system. Notifications, timers, Widgets, Lock Screen information, Live Activities, Apple Watch, Siri, App Intents, and synchronization can be delayed, suppressed, outdated, interrupted, or unavailable because of device settings, battery state, network conditions, Apple services, operating-system behavior, permissions, software defects, or other technical factors.

Do not rely on TinyLeap or an Apple-device notification as the only reminder or safeguard for feeding, medication, medical follow-up, supervision, emergencies, or any action where delay could create a health or safety risk.

Concerns and emergencies

If you have any concern about a child’s health, growth, development, feeding, sleep, behavior, or safety, contact a qualified healthcare professional promptly. Your own observations and concerns matter even when TinyLeap shows no alert or when a recorded milestone or measurement appears reassuring.

Do not use TinyLeap to make decisions during a medical emergency. If a child appears seriously ill, has difficulty breathing, is unresponsive, is having a seizure, turns blue, or otherwise needs urgent medical attention, contact the appropriate local emergency service or emergency healthcare provider immediately.

Accuracy, updates, and external sources

TinyLeap aims to present clear, evidence-informed information, but child-care, developmental, safety, public-health, and other professional source materials can change, and individual circumstances differ. Content may contain errors, omissions, simplifications, or differences between professional sources and may be updated or removed without notice.

References or links to organizations such as health authorities do not mean that those organizations sponsor, endorse, certify, or are affiliated with TinyLeap or the Operator. External websites and publications are controlled by their own publishers.

Responsibility and legal limits

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TinyLeap and the Operator do not assume responsibility for medical or developmental decisions, delayed care, injury, loss, or other consequences caused by treating app content, calculations, reminders, estimates, or device notifications as professional advice, a diagnosis, a guarantee, or a safety system.

Nothing in this Notice excludes, limits, or waives any duty, liability, statutory right, or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
